Rage Unrestrained

Written for:  The Sunday Whirl, Wordle #276

Words:  drive, add, sit, spray, handle, mess, window, law, film, tray, pot, vent

Broke the law,
saw window, drove through it.
No handle on rage.
His venting  sprayed
a mess of shattered  glass
where someone may
have been sitting. Admitting
only that he smoked pot–not
what the cops found. Filmed
by a neighbor, who saw
a crack pipe. Added
to list of offenses,
senseless betrayal
of parole. Suspended
license. Defiance of law.
Broken.

About purplepeninportland

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are in the process of returning to New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
