Sunday Wordle #98: first, dust, wings, share, gasps, blue, deserves, blessed, instant, ride, unbalance, slap

Streak

Unbalanced at start, blue wings
straightened.  He was flying!
New ride, kicking up clouds
instead of dust.  Knew he was born
for this day.  Knew it the instant
he saw his first plane, gleaming
silver, slicing the air.  How he
had gasped, skin tingling
like a slap of cold water
awakening him.  Bill deserved
to be next to him, co-piloting,
sharing the joy. For the first
time since Bill’s death, he felt
blessed to be alive.
